Summer Calm

An excerpt taken from Parks Canada interpretive literature in Pukaskwa National Park states in part that " Superior's oceanic temperament gives rise to nightmarish fall storms and to summer calms so vast and tranquil that a paddler can peer 20 meters or more into it's glassy depths. It is by far the cleanest and coldest of the Great Lakes. "
